10.30am Holy Communion

9 am - St Matt's @ 9

This is a contemporary gathering using a variety of informal formnats and variety of music. On the first Sunday of each month we share Holy Communion. There is a Kids' Talk and song early in the meeting after which children between the ages of 3 and 9 can go out to Sunday School, except on the first Sunday of each month.

Tea and Coffee is servced in the courtyard afterwards.

The same sermon is preached at 9am and 10.30am.

10.30 am - Morning Service

This is a traditional Anglican Holy Communion service. Sunday School children (3yrs to 9yrs) come to the church at the start of the service, and leave for Sunday School after the Kids’ talk and song. They return to the church towards the end of the service to participate with their parents during Holy Communion.

Morning tea is served outside in the garden after the service each Sunday.

During the Service there is a Crèche / Nursery room available where young childrencan be taken. The welcomers at the door can give you directions if you would like to use the crèche.

12.00 noon - Amharic Fellowship

For the Amharic speaking people attending our services we run a short Bible Study in Amharic after our morning service. Using study material prepared in Amharic, this group reads a Bible passage in Amharic and follows that with discussion.

Special Services

St Matthew's provides regular opportunities for believers in Jesus Christ to be baptised, and for parents to have their children baptised. Preparation is required for this significant step.

Where mature aged people have not been baptised as an infant, our church provides for Adult Baptism.  The Rector would be very happy to discuss this with anyone interested.

Thanksgiving for the birth of a child

This service provides an opportunity for parents to give thanks to God for the birth of their child and to have the congregation pray for the family in their responsibility of spiritual nurture.

For followers of Jesus Christ who have previously been baptised, confirmation is an opportunity to publicly conform the vows their perents took on their behalf, and openly confess their faith. Confirmation Services are held each year, and a preparatory course is run for interested candidates.

Arrangements and preparation for marriage and the booking of the church are welcome.

Please contact the Rector to make arrangements for funerals and the booking of the church.

For more information about any of these services, please contact the Rector on 0111 23 32 60
