St. Matthew’s Anglican Church was established in Addis Ababa in 1924, in the compound of the British Legation. The church moved to the present site in 1955, when it was given land by His Imperial Majesty Haile Selassie. It has served faitfully as an international community of expatriate Anglican Christians ever since.
On an average Sunday, it is common to have representatives from more than 20 nationalities at our service.
